Men's Faraday Hoodie Made With FlexiBloc Fabric
This plain hoodie is made in the UK from FlexiBloc, a soft, stretchy knitted fabric made with 44% silver fiber. Apart from the dark grey, every color is reversible and has two layers: FlexiBloc and organic cotton jersey. The dark grey is a single layer made purely from FlexiBloc. Shielding Performance
The hoodie gets its shielding from the FlexiBloc fabric, which provides about 38 dB from 30 MHz to 300 MHz, around 36 dB at 915 MHz, about 33 dB at 2.45 GHz (2.4 GHz WiFi) and 32 dB at 5 GHz (5 GHz WiFi), falling to about 27 dB at 10 GHz. These are the values for a single layer of the fabric. Decibels are a logarithmic scale: every 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in signal power, so 30 dB means 99.9% of the signal power at that frequency is blocked. Care and Washing
FlexiBloc fabric has been tested to withstand 40 washes before its shielding effectiveness is compromised. To look after your hoodie and keep the silver working at its best:
- Wash with distilled, mineral, well or cooled boiled water to avoid and remove mineral ions.
- Cool wash with as little agitation as possible.
- Use a clear, unscented, uncolored detergent with a neutral pH.
- Avoid oils, including essential oils, since they will damage the silver.
- No fabric softener.
- No bleaching.
- Do not tumble dry or place over heaters. Line dry only.
- Cool iron.
