WCH Beanie With the World Council for Health Logo
This beanie carries the World Council for Health (WCH) logo, made for our collaboration with WCH. It is the same beanie, with the same lining and the same outer fabric, as our Logo Faraday Beanie Hat, with the WCH logo in place of ours. On the outside it looks like an ordinary knit beanie, and on the inside it is lined with silver-coated shielding fabric. Browse our full range of faraday hats.
Silver Lining and Shielding
The lining is a nylon fabric coated with silver. It provides about 57 dB of shielding from 10 MHz to 300 MHz, about 59 dB at 1 GHz (2G and 4G mobile) and about 62 dB at 3 GHz (3G, 4G and WiFi). Decibels are a logarithmic scale: every 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in signal power, so 60 dB blocks 99.9999% of the signal power at that frequency. The report covers 10 MHz to 3 GHz, so it does not include 5 GHz WiFi or the 5G bands above 3 GHz. Shielding applies where the lining covers your head. See the Specifications tab for the full table.
Outer Fabric and Fit
The outer is 100% acrylic fiber, which keeps your head warm in cold weather. The beanie is unisex and fits most head sizes.
