Grounding Mouse Pad: Stay Grounded at Your Desk
Whether you are working, gaming or scrolling, this mouse pad keeps you connected to the earth. It is a normal mouse pad with a conductive surface, connected by a grounding cord to the ground socket of a wall outlet, which helps reduce unwanted body voltage. Browse our full range of earthing and grounding products.
How It Works
The pad is connected to the earth through the grounding cord and the ground socket of a wall outlet. Rest your bare hand or wrist on the surface of the pad, and your body is connected to the same earth ground as the outlet.
How to Use It
- Place the pad on your desk and flatten it.
- Connect one end of the grounding cord to the pad.
- Plug the other end into the grounding (earth) hole of an outlet that is properly wired to earth.
Size
The pad measures 9.4 inches wide x 7.9 inches long (24 x 20 cm), a compact size for your mouse hand and wrist at a desk.
Materials
The mouse pad uses the same material and the same grounding cord as our EMF Earthing Grounding Pad.
- Surface: durable conductive PU, which is breathable and comfortable.
- Coating: waterproof, which protects the pad from damage caused by beverage spills and other accidents.
- Base: durable, non-slip rubber, which stops the pad sliding on the desktop during use.
- Grounding cord: 16.4 feet (5 m) long.
Use It With Our Grounding Rod
You do not need to use a wall outlet. The pad works with our Grounding Rod for Earthing, which connects you to the earth outside. Some people prefer a rod because the ground socket of an outlet is part of your building's wiring, where electrical noise from appliances and electronics, often called dirty electricity, can be present, while a rod connects to the soil outside, away from that wiring. If you use more than one grounding product at the same time, connect them all to the same grounding source: all to grounded outlets, or all to the grounding rod, and not some to an outlet and others to the rod.
Need a Bigger Pad?
This mouse pad is 9.4 x 7.9 inches (24 x 20 cm). For a larger pad that you can use anywhere, including under your feet, see our EMF Earthing Grounding Pad, which measures 23 x 15.8 inches (58 x 40 cm).
