Most shielding fabrics are conductive – they can pick up all the electric fields from power lines, smart meters and even microwave ovens in your kitchen – so you need to make sure they’re safely grounded to prevent all that electricity from building up on the surface, and possibly making the situation worse.
A typical grounding kit usually comes with a 3.2ft copper grounding wire, two plates, a plug, some crimped cable lugs, screwdrivers and screws to put it all together. It is really easy to install.
