A Portable Faraday Tent for Your Bed

The BlocSilver® EMF Faraday Tent gives you a shielded sleeping space you can set up almost anywhere. It is made from our BlocSilver® EMF shielding fabric, which reduces the RF signals from 4G, 5G, cell towers, WiFi routers and other wireless devices, in a breathable weave that keeps sleep comfortable. It is sturdy, portable and a more affordable alternative to a framed four-poster canopy paired with a bed mat. Compare it with the rest of our EMF bed canopies.

Shielded Base Included, Grounding Kit Free

The base of the tent is made from our BlocWifi EMF-blocking fabric and is integrated into the tent, so together with the tent walls it forms a Faraday cage around your bed. That means there is no separate bed mat to buy. A grounding kit is included free of charge, so everything you need is in the box.

Portable and Quick to Set Up

The tent uses two poles and can be fully set up in about 5 minutes. It folds into a carrying case, so it is easy to take to hotels or when visiting friends and family. It is freestanding, with nothing to fix to your ceiling or walls.

How to Set Up the Tent

1. Unzip the carrying case and remove the tent and poles.
2. Take one of the two poles and gradually feed it through the outside tunnel that runs diagonally across the body of the tent, connecting the sections of the pole as you go.
3. Feed the second pole through the opposite tunnel. The poles will crisscross at the top, so secure them together with the ties. All four corners connect into a casement attached to each corner of the base.
4. Place the tent on top of the mattress, on the floor, or on top of the bed base with the mattress inside.
5. Make sure the tent is properly grounded.
6. Unzip the tent, taking care to keep the tent flaps away from the zipper.
7. Once inside, zip the tent back up slowly, maneuvering the overlap flap into place to secure it. This step is important to make sure the zipper area is sealed.

What the Tent Shields From

High-frequency radiation from 4G, 5G, cell towers, WiFi, wireless routers, baby monitors and other smart appliances. When grounded, the tent also reduces low-frequency fields from the electrical wiring in your home.

Shielding Performance

BlocSilver® provides 36 dB of shielding at 40 GHz, which covers the high-frequency millimeter wave range used by 5G. At lower frequencies, including the WiFi and cell phone bands, attenuation is higher, at around 45 to 50 dB. Decibels are a logarithmic scale: every 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in signal power, so 36 dB means more than 99.9% of the signal power at that frequency is blocked. Grounding

Without grounding, the tent reduces high-frequency radiation only. Grounded with the kit included, it also reduces low-frequency fields from your home wiring.

Choosing Your Size

The tent is available in Twin, Full, Queen, California King and King sizes. Choose the size that matches your mattress.

Use and Safety

The tent is designed for indoor use over a bed. Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. It is not intended for outdoor conditions, and it should not be used for recreational camping.

Care and Washing

• Store the tent in a clean, dry environment.
• Keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent silver oxidation.
• To wash, remove the poles and hand wash with cool water and a neutral detergent, then hang dry indoors.
• Poor water quality will damage the silver in the fabric. Sulfur, high fluoride and low pH react strongly with silver and can destroy conductivity and shielding performance.
• Avoid use in high-salt or sulfide air conditions.
• Do not use bleach, and do not iron or dry-clean.

Repairing a Tear

For the tent to keep its maximum shielding, a tear must be repaired with silver woven thread. A spool of silver thread is included with your tent. Hand sew the tear together, taking care to make sure it is fully sealed.

About Silver Fabric and Discoloration

Silver products discolor over time, which is normal, and can be stained from the factory.

Tent or Canopy?

The tent is the portable option: it sets up in minutes and needs no fixings. If you want a permanent setup at home, our Four Poster canopy comes with a freestanding frame and also needs no hooks, screws or fixings into your floor or ceiling. Both use BlocSilver® fabric.

Warranty

The BlocSilver® fabric in this tent carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
