Kids’ FlexiBloc Faraday Hoodie

It is a plain hoodie for children made from FlexiBloc silver fiber fabric, which shields RF signals from cell phones, WiFi and other wireless devices. It comes in six colors and in sizes for ages 3 to 12.

The FlexiBloc fabric is 44% silver fiber, 35% cotton, 18% nylon and 3% spandex. The organic cotton layer is 95% cotton and 5% elastane, certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

The FlexiBloc fabric provides about 38 dB from 30 MHz to 300 MHz, around 36 dB at 915 MHz, about 33 dB at 2.4 GHz WiFi and 32 dB at 5 GHz WiFi, falling to about 27 dB at 10 GHz, for a single layer. Every 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in signal power.

The FlexiBloc fabric shields WiFi and cell frequencies, and the lower 5G bands, up to 10 GHz. It has not been tested above 10 GHz, so millimeter wave 5G is outside its tested range.

It shields the areas it covers: head, torso and arms. It does not cover the legs.

Sizes are by age: 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10, 10-11 and 11-12. The size chart in the Specifications tab gives the chest girth and length of each size.

Yes. FlexiBloc fabric has been tested to withstand 40 washes before shielding effectiveness is compromised. Wash with distilled, mineral, well or cooled boiled water, with a cool wash and as little agitation as possible. Use a clear, unscented, uncolored detergent with a neutral pH, and avoid oils, fabric softener and bleach. Do not tumble dry or place over heaters: line dry only, and use a cool iron if needed.
