BlocCotton EMF Sleeping Bag for Sleeping Away From Home

When you sleep away from home, you cannot shield your bedroom. This sleeping bag is made from our BlocCotton shielding fabric, so you can take a shielded sleeping environment with you to hotels, rentals and other people's homes. Shielding Performance

The BlocCotton fabric provides 45 to 54 dB of shielding from 30 MHz to 10 GHz, peaking at about 53.8 dB at 300 MHz and falling to about 51 dB at 2.4 GHz WiFi, 49.5 dB at 5 GHz WiFi and 45.2 dB at 10 GHz. Decibels are a logarithmic scale: every 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in signal power, so 50 dB blocks 99.999% of the signal power at that frequency. These are values for the fabric. The tested range stops at 10 GHz, so millimeter wave 5G is outside it. Shielding applies where the fabric covers you.

Fabric

• Composition: 54% cotton and 46% silver fiber, in a twill texture.

• Conductive: the silver fiber makes the fabric conductive.

Grounding the Sleeping Bag

The fabric is conductive, so you do not need a separate earthing mat. To connect the bag to earth, use one of our grounding kits, which has a screw plate, a 3.3 foot (1 m) grounding cable and a grounding plug, such as the EMF Canopy Grounding Kit Plug B. It is available separately.

Pillowcase Slot and Hood

The bag has an integral pillowcase slot, so you can slip your favorite pillow in and sleep as you normally would. You can also place your head under the hood where the pillow usually goes, with the pillow underneath the sleeping bag.

The sleeping bag measures 94 x 59 inches (239 x 150 cm).

Care and Washing

The sleeping bag is washable, and can be washed up to 40 times without reducing its shielding effectiveness. To look after it and keep the silver working at its best:

• Wash with distilled, mineral, well or cooled boiled water to avoid and remove mineral ions. You can add 1 teaspoon of ascorbic acid to your pH neutral detergent and wash in a machine on a gentle cycle with no spin.
• Cool wash with as little agitation as possible.
• Use a clear, unscented, uncolored detergent with a neutral pH. Avoid oils, including essential oils, since they damage the silver.
• No fabric softener.
• No bleaching.
• Do not tumble dry or place over heaters.
• Line dry only.
